Let's first understand what happens during the healing stage. We are providing rest to the body so that it can do its cleaning and healing work. Our inner healing power can do many things but it can do only one thing at a time. This same power is used for digestion, for work, for exercise etc.

When we fast, we are giving our bodies rest from digestion so that the healing power can do its work.
If we do heavy exercise during this time, then our energy is diverted to that, and healing is stopped. However, when we do light exercise, we actually support our healing power to do its work. Therefore, during the healing stage, it's best to do light exercises like yoga, jogging, and brisk walking rather than high-intensity training. One hour of exercise is recommended every day during the healing stage.
